Language Lab for English Speaking Skills and Creativity

Abstract

The need for competence in modern foreign languages increases steadily, especially in the present context of globalization and increase in logarithmic proportions 0f facilities for transport and communication This paper examines the role of language lab in English language teaching by focusing on creativity and speaking skills. It also explains how language lab emphasizes situational use of language to meet the student’s imagination and generation of new ideas. It concludes with the fact that even in this information age language lab is still a dream for arts and science students in India.
